The Road That Brought Me Here

Health has always been important to me

I'm a mother through pregnancy and birth, part of a blended family and an adoptive parent. Life hasn't always followed the path I expected, and many of my experiences have shaped the way I support people today.

Following a divorce and the loss of two close friends at a young age, I became increasingly interested in health, fitness and wellbeing, wanting to understand how we can give ourselves the best possible chance of living well, limiting health risks, or being battle ready for when the unexpected happens.

When wellbeing became personal

My own breast cancer diagnosis at age 44 brought a whole new perspective to my life.

While surgery and treatment focused on physical recovery, I experienced first-hand the emotional impact that can follow major illness. The pressure to return to normal, the constant fear of recurrence and the challenge of rebuilding confidence all became part of my journey.

Alongside talking therapy, hypnotherapy played a significant role in helping me regain a sense of control and move forward with coping strategies for the health anxiety and worry.

Building knowledge through experience

Wanting to better understand health from every angle, I trained as a Personal Trainer and developed a deeper knowledge of movement, nutrition and behaviour change. This was valuable to help myself find a physical way back to strength that worked for my new body, adapting and learning new and gentler exercise methods, but also making healthier changes to my nutrition.

Although I no longer work as a Personal Trainer, those principles remain at the heart of how I support people today. I don't believe health is about perfection, strict rules or cutting out everything you enjoy. I believe in creating realistic, sustainable habits that support your wellbeing while still allowing you to live your life.

Discovering a more holistic approach

During some of life's more challenging periods, I also discovered Reiki.

What began as a treatment I received during a stressful time became an important part of my own wellbeing toolkit. Combined with mindfulness, meditation and deep relaxation, it helped me navigate difficult experiences with greater calm and resilience.

Today I use many of those same approaches to support others.

My own experiences taught me that lasting change rarely comes from being told what to do. It comes from understanding yourself, feeling supported and finding approaches that work for your life. That's the philosophy behind everything I offer today.
